Finance
The mission of the Finance Department is to maintain a high level of fiscal stewardship and integrity over City funds by adhering to General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and industry best practices. We aim to provide stellar customer support to internal and external customers. We are committed to supporting the City’s mission by serving the community.
The Department provides the following services:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Purchasing
- Utility Billing
- Property Taxes
- Occupational Tax Certificates
- Alcohol Beverage License
- Treasury Services
- Financial Reporting
- GovDeals
In addition, staff works diligently in executing sound financial analysis, preparing the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, and billing and collecting revenues. Accounts payable and travel, coordination of City purchasing, cash and investment management are also important activities. Lastly, debt service management, the disposition of all surplus property and enforcement of financial policies fall under the Finance Department.
