Division Overview

To provide informed inspections, plan reviews, and determine the cause of all working fires within the boundaries of Union City. The Inspections and Investigations Division will provide efficient and effective education during inspections to reduce the loss of life and property and provide accurate findings to determine the exact cause of accidental fires as well as incendiary ones.

On March 19, 1996, by resolution, the Georgia Fire Marshal’s office granted the authority to regulate and enforce adopted life safety codes to the City of Union City through its Fire Marshal.
