HOME SECURITY INSPECTIONS

Whether you are new to Union City or a long-time resident, this free service will prove invaluable. A member of the Police Department will come to you and conduct an on-site custom security inspection of your home or apartment at your convenience. You will be given information and training on the most effective locks, alarm systems and lighting specific to your home and related area. You will receive a written evaluation of the improvements you can make to increase security without making your home a fortress. The inspection takes approximately 30 minutes of your time, but will pay huge dividends in the physical security and your peace of mind. Additionally, certain improvements may reduce your homeowner's insurance premium. This service is provided free of charge to residents. 

BUSINESS SECURITY INSPECTIONS

The Police Department offers free business security inspections upon request. The purposes of these inspections are to help strengthen your defenses against criminals who may attempt to victimize your investments. We will come to you and conduct an on-site custom security inspection of your property at your convenience. You will be given approved instructional material on surveillance systems, locks, alarm systems, and lighting specific to your business and related area. You will receive a written evaluation of the improvements you can make to increase security. The inspection takes approximately 30 minutes of your time, but will pay huge dividends in the physical security and your peace of mind.
